Esoteric Arts Guild

Intensity. Sincerity. Depth.

Where the visual and magical arts meld in community.

The Esoteric Arts Guild is a sacred space for the learning and practice of art, magic, ritual, and self-inquiry — in committed community. The focus is depth: development of the psyche, shadow work, art-making as the primary vehicle for transformation, and ritual practice that asks something of you and gives something back.

We live in a world of confusion, dissolution, dissension, and fatalism. In a sea of mass-produced trendy junk, distractions, mindlessness, and isolation, the Guild answers with intensity, sincerity, and depth.

Our rituals are magical workings focused on consciousness, symbolic engagement, and ceremonial transformation. They are not seasonal parties or holiday reenactments. This work asks something of you, and it gives something back.

What the Guild Is

What the Guild Is not

The Guild is not a TikTok aesthetic and it is not a game.

It is not psychotherapy. If you need clinical support, I will say so and help you find it.

It is not a family. We don't call each other brothers, sisters, or siblings; that language only encourages family-drama projection, and projection happens wherever you are. We try to stay conscious of it so we can take responsibility for ourselves and support each other in that work.

And it is not a drop-in community or a party. The Guild ran for three years as an open community, and the open format did not produce what real ritual requires: a trained team, shared language, and ongoing trust. The Guild is now a closed working group. Open to all who are serious and ready to commit to magical training.

The Year-and-a-Day Dedicant Training

A structured, year-long magical education designed to give you the foundations, confidence, and lived experience needed for real ritual work. The stuff you can’t learn from reading about it.

Each month, we move through the core competencies of a functional magical practice, both individually and as a working group:

  • Grounding, centering, purification

  • Protection work and energetic shielding

  • Working with the elements

  • Creating and maintaining a personal altar

  • Consecration and daily ritual practice

  • Parts of ritual, and how to design workings that function

  • The magic circle and why it matters

  • Moon magic and timing

  • The Wheel of the Year

  • Spellcraft (high and low magic)

  • Working with spirits, the divine, the ancestors, and the unseen world

  • Shadow work and integration

  • Dreamwork as both a magical and psychological tool

Alongside the dedicant work, you'll also have access to introductory workshop sessions open to the wider public: the parts of the Self, qabalah basics, tarot as a symbolic language, and astrology fundamentals for ritual timing.

Dedicants work with the group monthly in our rituals and get encouragement and support to learn ritual.

You do not need previous experience with magic or art to participate. What you need is curiosity, willingness, and the capacity to show up with honesty and vulnerability.

Every dedicant receives:

  • Monthly Closed Ritual — the heart of the working group

  • Monthly 2-hour Skill-Building Workshop — moving through the dedicant competencies

  • Monthly 2-hour Open Art Studio — hands-on creative sacred space and witnessing

  • Access to the Meditation Archive — guided meditations to support practice between sessions

  • Private Discord server — community, questions, and support

This creates continuity, accountability, and a place for the Great Work to deepen between meetings. You will not be walking this alone, and I can guess you've probably already done a bit of that.

What Membership Includes

The Guild is small and intentional. Max membership for the group is 13 members total including leadership, so this is a hard cap. When we are full, the doors close. We will continue to provide occasional workshops and field trips in the community.

Investment

  • $97 / month via cash or Zelle

  • $102 / month by card, PayPal, or Venmo (processing fee included)

  • $999 paid in full for the year (for those who know they're meant to be here)

Partial scholarships as work-trade positions are available for those who feel called to the Work but need support. These are reciprocity agreements, not discounts. Fees go toward temple supplies.

After the Year-and-a-Day

You may:

  • Continue as a regular member of the group, or

  • Apply for initiatory training — the priestess/priest path, and advanced ritual craft.

There is no obligation to continue. Most do.

The Container and Investment

"I have known Maggi since 2011. I have taken several of her classes. I cannot recommend her enough. She is a wealth of knowledge and her passion for her work is inspiring. She is warm and approachable. I always feel safe and very comfortable asking Maggi questions. I have learned so much."

J.R. Malpere, student

"I attended a ritual led by Maggi and it was a wonderful and moving experience. Her approach is very grounded and reverent. She made the experience incredibly compelling and it was an honor to be a part of it. I cannot recommend her enough."

Nicole Bishop Herr, Owner of Blackwater Apothecary

"Maggi's dream class offered me profound insights into my struggles and psyche. She was shining lights on seemingly confusing symbols and situations in my dreams. I learned so much more about symbolism and archetypes. Each class was like an adventure into our unconscious. We also did tons of art, and I never thought I could draw before."

Let’s Begin

I'm looking forward to seeing who steps across the threshold. I remember what it felt like in 2001 to stand where you may be standing now. Stepping over that circle threshold changed my life forever, and there was no going back. I can't imagine it any other way. It's in my bones, my blood, and my soul now.

If this path is yours, you'll know…

A Seeker Stands at the Gate

Still discerning? That’s why we have open workshops and occasional open rituals. Reach out for a chat to ask questions and meet Maggi, the High Priestess.
